We were next door neighbors to the Youngs and my memories consisted of Monty Python movies, Rush and Pink Floyd while visiting Pat and John. Good memories! Who could forget playing soccer with Pat and somehow having the team named the Goose Men. Purple uniforms and wearing goose decoys on our heads as we warmed up. Pat was always thinking of some wild idea which brought laughs and smiles. Those were some awesome neighbors!

Pat loved the holidays It’s safe to say.
He loved cooking and he loved making other people happy. Pat would delight in chosing the loudest, most obnoxious gift he could find. He would literally giggle when the batteries were put in and the thing just banged on. I don’t remember exactly when the tradition started, but Pat would bring the largest box they make full to the top of Archie Mcfee’s miscellaneous knickknacks. Every year! Pat’s nieces, my daughters Lily and Georgia loved getting these, but so did my nieces and nephews. We would get fighting nuns, bugs, and Sigmund Freud dolls and a hundred other things. good times were had by all. Pat gave me a magic eight ball one year, and a fancy foot massager another. Some of the best gifts I ever got, definitely the most memorable.

Pat and Linda were married in beautiful Leavenworth, 25 yrs or so ago. I was pretty new to the family and was so in awe of their families and friends. It was snowing and gorgeous. I think it was at the rehearsal dinner party PAT SANG, Under the boardwalk, and it gave me goosebumps. I remember this event very vividly. Mother of the groom toasted and said,” May you live forever!” Pat’s laughter could fill a room. I’m really gonna miss that laugh.

Some of my best memories of Pat are from the times we spent at the cabin on Whidbey, staying up late at night, fire roaring, listening to music, arguing about stupid things. This picture isn’t from there – it’s a picture of our senior sneak. Looks like an album cover for a really bad band. Miss you, Pat.

My dad’s wedding was during the World Series. I know it was difficult for Pat to miss it but we watched what we could and he recently remembered specify a about the game. Mark on his face was poor storage of the photograph.

No, this wasn’t a play.

My first memory of Pat was freshman year gym class. We had to do these highly embarrassing 80’s aerobics moves. Most of the 14 year old boys were mortified doing such things esp in front of girls. We were not having fun.
I looked behind me and there was the hairiest 14 year old I’d ever seen. Big smile on his face. Kicking, twisting & stretching with enthusiasm. “This is great,” he exclaimed. “It’s like an Irish jig!”
